On today’s episode we have an English Teacher of thirty-six years - Glenda Funk is an evolving teacher going into her thirty-seventh year as a teacher. She is nationally board certified, has a blog called evolvingenglishteacher, and created 113 lesson plans and 14 units on the Better Lesson Series website which gets 500 downloads a week. She graduated from SW Baptist University with a degree in Speech Education and a Masters in English from Idaho State University. In this episode we learn about the balance she’s adopted in her work and life, her blog, and the declining retention rate of teachers staying in the profession as well as entering it.
